#BringBackOurGirls: Obasanjo Holds Talks With Boko Haram To Free Abducted Schoolgirls [READ]

According to reports, former president Olusegun Obasanjo has met with individuals close to the Islamic militant sect, Boko Haram to negotiate the release of more than 230 kidnapped schoolgirls.

Relatives of some insurgents, as well as intermediaries and the former president sat for a meeting last weekend at Obasanjo's farm in Ogun state.

"The meeting was focused on how to free the girls through negotiation," said the source who requested anonymity, referring to the girls seized on April 14 from the remote northeastern town of Chibok, Borno state.
