Mesut Ozil ready to ditch Arsenal in January and join Bayern Munich

Arsenal’s unsettled record signing Mesut Ozil is no longer happy at the Emirates Stadium, and will ask to leave the club during the January transfer window.

The Daily Mail claims that Ozil wants to quit Arsenal as soon as January, and the Gunners are ready to do business. They understand the German international
has grown increasingly unhappy at Arsenal, not least because he is not being played in his preferred forward floating role by Arsene Wenger.

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are interested in ending Ozil’s Premier League nightmare, and are expected to bid £30m for the playmaker, who cost the Gunners £42.5m in the summer of 2013.

The 26-year-old picked up a left knee problem while training with his country earlier this week, and is expected to be out for up to 12 weeks as a result.

The injury arrived after a very uninspiring start to the campaign, which has seen him come under heavy criticism from the English media.

According to the report, Arsene Wenger has grown tired of the expensive Ozil, who’s struggled to impose himself on games when not selected in the pivotal no.10 role.

Although Wenger rarely does big business in January, he could offload Ozil and look to bring in his international colleague Julien Draxler instead, as well as Real Madrid’s midfield enforcer Sami Khedira.
